Warm, gooey, mouth-watering cobbler ! I can smell and taste it now! I can remember as a child watching and smelling that hot, gooey peach cobbler baking in the oven. A peach cobbler was one of the first things I was taught to cook! I spent alot time with my grandmother as a child (simply because she spoiled me) and she taught me many things about cooking. It's that appreciation and passion, I bring to you! Get out your apron and measuring cups and lets get started!
So who wants cobbler?? If your a beginner cook this is a dessert you can you master quickly! This is what I call my cuppa, cuppa, cuppa cobbler !
Peach Cobbler
Ingredients:
1 cup of Self - Rising Flour
1 cup of Granulated Sugar
1 cup of Milk (2% or Whole)
1 stick of Butter
1 tbsp of Vanilla
1, Large Can of (peaches, for example) with Heavy Syrup -DO NOT DRAIN THE SYRUP
***If you like cinnamon you can add a sprinkle or two to the batter mix and mix it in***
Directions: 8 easy steps
1.Preheat oven at 375 degrees.
2. Place a stick of butter in a 9x13 glass baking dish and place in the preheating oven to melt the butter.
3. While the butter is melting, mix the Flour, Sugar, Milk, and Vanilla together. Mix until all your ingredients are well blended (make sure there are no flour clumps). Yes, you can use an electric mixer or a whisk.
4. Once the butter is melted and your oven is heated to 375 degrees, remove baking dish from oven and pour in your batter mix.
5. Then pour in your can of fruit (in our case peaches) into the batter mix.
6. Place back in oven and bake for 35-40 minutes (could be less or more depending on your oven, so keep an eye on it) or until it is bubbling hot and toasty brown on top!
7. Remove cobbler from oven.
8. Dip your cobbler and a scoop of ice cream and ENJOY!!
